The Cypriot stone was presented by Dr. P. N. Vanezis, the High Commissioner for Cyprus in Australia and was handed over on an official visit on the 3rd of October 1987 at the Hellenic Hall in Federal Street North Hobart. The stone is sand coloured of an unknown type. The face is polished and features the Cypriot national emblem of a dove surrounded by olive branches at the bottom centre. The gold-filled engraved inscription is in Greek and English.
