The Estonian stone was donated by the Chairman of the Estonian Association in Tasmania, Dr. Kavel Kruup, on 24th of February 1988 to mark the 68th anniversary of the Estonian republic. The stone is dark grey granite imported from Finland but of the same type commonly found in Estonia. A metal plaque bearing the coat-of-arms of the Estonian Republic is located at the centre of the plaque. Above this, is the gold-filled inscription in Estonian and below isa the same in English.
