The Polish stone was presented by Alojzy (Alec) Dziendziel, President of the Polish Association in Hobart at a reception to celebrate the National Day of Poland which falls on the 3rd of May.The stone is red granite imported from Finland. The face is polished and feature a brass eagle, the national emblem of Poland, located at the top centre, below which is a gold-filled engraved inscription in Polish and English.
